Scifest 2016:

Congrats to all the students from Magh Ene College who represented the school so well at Scifest in the IT Sligo today - we are very proud of you all!!
5th year students Rebecca Duffy and Megan McGee won 1st place in the Senior Life Sciences category at Scifest 2016 for their project 'An investigation into bio-security measures to prevent the spread of zebra mussels to Lough Melvin.'

Second year students Caoimhe Hamrogue, Chloe Menarry and Hannah McGagh were awarded the Maths in Science Award sponsored by the National Centre for STEM Education for their project 'An investigation into Pet Obesity in the North West of Ireland'.

TY students Oisin McGloin, Michael McGloin and Rory Sweeney were awarded 3rd place in the Intermediate Technology section for their project 'Battle gum disease using a UV toothbrush'.

Second year students Aaron Bradshaw and Oisin Carolan represented Magh Ene College well in the Junior Life Sciences category with their project 'Eye Need a Rest' which investigated the effect of different electronic devices on eye-strain.
